The SHIELDED TRANSPORT AND STORAGE CONTAINERS is designed for transportation and temporary storage under moderate and cold climate conditions of closed type gamma radiation sources:
- For UKTIA 40, 45, and 50 sets – Radionuclides Cesium-137, Radium-226, Americium-241
- For UKTIIA-130 and 250 sets – Radionuclides Plutonium-Beryllium (Pu-Be), Americium (Am) used in geophysical well logging.
Set composition:
- Protective casing with a hinged lid and a centering device inside the body for installing the container;
- Container with lead protection, a hinged lid, and a carrying handle;
- The container has an internal cavity for storing gamma radiation sources in special holders or without them;
- The protective casing and container are designed with places for installing locks or security seals.
